XCell Antimicrobial Cellulose Dressing 3-1/2″ L x 3-1/2″ W Square Shape Nonadherent, Latex-freeXCell Antimicrobial dressings provide active fluid management, providing either absorption or hydration depending upon exudates levels, as well as antimicrobial properties through the use of 2/7% polyhexamethylene biguanide (pHMB), a well-known, broad spectrum antimicrobial. Indicated for use on infected and noninfected wounds, XCell AM specifically reduces microbial bioburden and has been shown to be effective in reducing risk of infection by performing as a barrier. XCell has been found to be nonadherent to the wound surface and provides virtually pain-free dressing changes. Dressings form a protective barrier over the wound, mimicking the body’s natural “blister” process for an optimal healing environment.
